In December 2023, we explored the fascinating city of Warsaw and its surrounding attractions. Starting with a visit to Majdanek concentration camp, a poignant reminder of the city's dark past. Next, we explored the charming town center of Lublin, known for its historical architecture and vibrant atmosphere. We experience the "Dark side of Warsaw" by venturing into the Praga District, where you can discover its gritty charm and alternative culture. we then went to the mesmerizing light show at Wilanow Palace, a stunning display of lights that illuminates the palace's beauty. Lastly, witnessing the changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a symbolic ceremony honouring Poland's fallen heroes. Immersing ourselves in the rich history and cultural heritage of Warsaw through these day trips, making our December getaway truly unforgettable.
